'Israel' admits another soldier killed in Jabalia explosion
"Israel" admitted on Sunday to the death of an occupation soldier in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip. According to Israeli media reports, an explosive device exploded shortly before soldiers from the 601st Engineering Battalion entered the building, killing the soldier. This brings the total number of killed Israeli soldiers, as admitted by the Israeli military, to 30 since the collapse of the ceasefire and the resumption of the aggression in March. Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has admitted to the deaths of 438 soldiers. However, actual figures are expected to be significantly higher. As the war rages on, the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released footage on Saturday showing a close-range engagement with Israeli occupation forces east of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, during what it dubbed the 'Third Jabalia Camp Battle.' The video, dated December 23, 2024, depicts intense urban combat from zero distance, capturing the moment Israeli forces evacuated casualties following the downing of a military aircraft. The footage shows scenes of Israeli soldiers removing both dead and wounded personnel from the site under heavy fire. The release comes amid ongoing confrontations across the Gaza Strip, where Palestinian resistance factions continue to repel Israeli ground incursions. Fighters have engaged in direct clashes and ambushes targeting both soldiers and armored vehicles. كتائب القسام تنشر مشاهد من الاشتباك مع قوة إسرائيلية من المسافة صفر شرق مخيم #جباليا خلال معركة المخيم الثالثة بتاريخ 23-12-2024 وتوثيق إخلاء الجنود القتلى والجرحى من طائرة إسرائيلية تم إسقاطها.#الميادين #غزة on Saturday, al-Qassam Brigades announced it had targeted four Israeli excavators with Yassin-105 anti-tank RPGs. Al-Qassam releases video of deadly ambush with Israeli forces in Gaza
The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released footage on Saturday showing a close-range engagement with Israeli occupation forces east of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, during what it dubbed the 'Third Jabalia Camp Battle.' The attack took place in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, resulting in the machinery catching fire on impact. According to the statement, al-Qassam fighters confirmed observing fatalities and injuries among the Israeli forces at the strike site. Israeli helicopters were seen landing in the area to evacuate the wounded, the group added. These developments reflect the ongoing intensity of resistance operations across the Gaza Strip, as Palestinian factions sustain their armed response to Israeli military campaigns by deploying guerrilla tactics and advanced munitions in urban and semi-urban areas. In a related development, the al-Quds Brigades announced that it detonated a powerful explosive device targeting an Israeli military vehicle advancing on Street 5 in northern Khan Younis. The group indicated that the operation was part of its ongoing effort to exhaust the occupation forces that have infiltrated the Gaza Strip. Local Palestinian sources reported preliminary information about a serious security incident affecting the Israeli occupation forces in Khan Younis. The area is currently witnessing heavy Israeli warplane activity. In the eastern part of Gaza City, in the north of the Strip, al-Quds Brigades reported that its fighters took control of an Israeli reconnaissance drone while it was conducting intelligence missions over the al-Shuja'iya neighborhood. The group also released footage showing the moment its fighters shelled gatherings of Israeli soldiers and vehicles with mortar rounds around Tallat al-Montar, east of al-Shuja'iya. It confirmed that the strikes scored direct hits as part of a sustained artillery engagement targeting Israeli military positions.

Major Emirates Road expansion underway The project is being implemented in collaboration with local government entities and is expected to deliver outcomes that impact mobility, goods transport, and service flow across the country. The Emirates Road development project includes expanding the road from three to five lanes in each direction over a stretch of 25 kilometres, starting from Al Badee Interchange in Sharjah to the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain. This expansion will increase the road's capacity to 9,000 vehicles per hour, representing a 65 per cent increase. The project features an upgrade of Interchange No. 7 on Emirates Road, with the construction of six bridges totalling 12.6 kilometres in length, and a capacity of 13,200 vehicles per hour. The development will include the creation of collector roads on both sides of Emirates Road, spanning 3.4 kilometres. It aims to regulate traffic flow and achieve safety standards for road users. The development will reduce travel time by up to 45 per cent for commuters travelling from Ras Al Khaimah, through Umm Al Quwain and Sharjah, to Dubai, and vice versa. The project is expected to alleviate traffic density, reduce travel times, and enhance flow on one of the most heavily used federal roads. It is being implemented according to international standards in infrastructure design and execution, ensuring traffic efficiency, quality, and safety. 'The project will be implemented in accordance with the highest international standards in road and infrastructure planning, with a strong emphasis on ensuring long-term sustainability.
